“A grave danger threatens our security”.. The Iraqi parliament directs an appeal to the countries of the region

The First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, stressed that all countries of the region are more concerned than ever before in taking the reins to confront the grave danger that has begun to threaten their security and stability.
Al-Mandlawi said in a statement: “We call on the countries sponsoring and monitoring the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon to pressure the Zionist entity to stop its repeated violations and provocations before it is too late.”
He added: “We express our deep concern about the occupation’s evasion and failure to fulfill its obligations, which threatens to undermine international and regional diplomatic efforts calling for calming the conflict in the region, and also reveals its premeditated criminal intentions towards Lebanon, and its lack of seriousness in ending its aggression.”
He pointed out that “all countries of the region are concerned today more than ever to take matters into their own hands to confront the grave danger that has become a threat to their security and stability, in light of the ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people, the entity’s persistence in its aggression against Lebanon, and the activation of the terrorist groups’ card in Syria, and we are all called upon to cooperate in order to restore security and stability and protect our common national security.”
