Political researcher Luqman Hussein revealed, today, Wednesday (December 4, 2024), the reasons for obstructing the passage of the new regional government.
Hussein said in an interview with "Baghdad Today" that "the formation of the regional government will not pass with its three presidencies without passing through the borders of the regional and international index, and it has no relation to the Iraqi center and its Baghdadi weight based on many experiences, no matter how arrogant we are and describe that there are deliberations, discussions and movements between Erbil and Baghdad in this regard."
He added, "The Kurdish mood of the parties has been uncomfortable for a long time with consulting Baghdad and getting close to it on issues related to the Kurdish interior, its policy, decisions and future affairs. This is a reminder, and it is not new in its way to the ears of others."
Yesterday, the Kurdistan Parliament held a session attended by 97 members for the purpose of administering the legal oath to the new members, under the leadership of the oldest member, Mohammed Suleiman. The session was kept open due to the lack of quorum.
