[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / The Department of Foreign Economic Relations at the Ministry of Trade held the second specialized working session to discuss and complete the updating of the customs file in accordance with the new Harmonized System 2022 to enhance integration with international standards and keep pace with global developments in classifying goods according to the requirements of the World Trade Organization, in a way that serves to facilitate the procedures for access of goods to the Iraqi market.
The Ministry's media office said in a statement, "During the sessions, the results of the first session were reviewed, which included updating approximately 45 chapters of the customs tariff schedule consisting of 97 chapters for agricultural and non-agricultural goods in accordance with the international standards of the World Customs Organization and completing the remaining customs chapters.
The statement added that during the meeting, the importance of strengthening cooperation and intensifying efforts between the central government and the Kurdistan Regional Government was emphasized in a way that serves the national interest and achieves economic development and the necessity of reviewing the specified customs items to address any complications that arise and focus on national priorities within the efforts made in the process of Iraq's accession to the World Trade Organization, which enhances its position regionally and internationally. / End of p [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][/rtl]
