    [size=45]The Ministry of Finance confirmed that the financing of government sectors is done in accordance with the applicable laws and in line with the general budget.[/size]
    [size=45]A statement by the Ministry of Finance stated that “the media circulated statements by a member of the Iraqi Council of Representatives in which he referred to “the failure of the Ministry of Finance to finance the financial allocations allocated to the Ministry of Water Resources, which led to a negative impact on the Ministry’s projects and national food security.” In this regard, the Ministry of Finance confirms that the financing of government sectors is done in accordance with the laws in force and in line with the general budget approved by the Council of Representatives. Accordingly, the Accounting Department financed the allocations for all the Ministry of Water Resources projects with a total exceeding (153) billion dinars, within the investment and operational expenses for the period extending from May to November 2024.”[/size]
    [size=45]He added, "The Ministry has fully financed the allocations of farmers' dues for wheat, paddy and seed crops in a total amount of (5,862,000,000,000) trillion dinars for the benefit of the Ministries of Trade and Agriculture, in addition to financing the allocations of the ration card amounting to (3,007,250,000,000) trillion dinars for the account of the Ministry of Trade. Work is also underway to release the necessary allocations for the account of the Ministry of Trade (new farmers' dues) in the amount of (394) billion dinars according to the recent Cabinet decision."[/size]
    [size=45]According to the statement, the ministry called on all parties, including members of the House of Representatives, to “verify the accuracy of information before making statements that may provoke public opinion or lead to distorting the facts,” noting that “it is ready to hold coordination meetings with the relevant parties to clarify the financial situation and ensure that vital projects that affect the lives of Iraqi citizens are not disrupted.”[/size]
