    [size=45]Member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Moeen Al-Kadhimi, revealed the most prominent amendments made to the general budget and its latest developments.
    Al-Kadhimi said, “The amendment submitted by the government to the general budget is to Article 12 to address the impasse that the issue of exporting oil from the Kurdistan Region has entered into and has been suspended for more than a year.”
    He added, “The costs of production and transportation were calculated in the three-year budget at the same amount spent or allocated for the production of crude oil from Basra from the south in Kurdistan.”
    Al-Kadhimi continued, “While the costs of production in the Kurdistan Region are higher in terms of terrain and mountainous conditions and the issue of participation contracts signed by the region with international companies, the costs of extraction and transportation of which may reach $22 to $24, while in the south they are $6 to $7.”
    He pointed out that "the amendment that was mentioned is to resume oil exports from the Turkish pipeline to the port of Ceyhan at an initial cost of $16 per barrel of oil and to start resuming exports from now after the ratification of the law and then assign a consulting body or a specialized technical consulting body agreed upon between the federal Ministry of Oil and the Ministry of Natural Resources in the region to calculate the exact costs of production and transportation for 14 active fields in the Kurdistan Region and on the basis of that this renewal of these wages will be."
    The member of the parliamentary finance committee pointed out that "the amendment that was mentioned is to change the production costs, but this issue has many differences and lack of clarity among the members of the council."
    He explained that the members of the finance committee have opinions in the second reading regarding the texts that came from the government, and the committee will submit the text proposed by it and put forward in the second reading to receive the opinions and discussions of the members, then the final reading will be extracted from it as a government proposal and the text of the finance committee to be voted on during this legislative session as much as possible."[/size]
