    Economy News - Baghdad
The Social Protection Authority at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs announced, on Thursday, that the children of social protection beneficiaries will be included in a 50% reduction in tuition fees for evening private studies.
The head of the Social Protection Authority, Ahmed Al-Moussawi, said in a statement, which was reviewed by Al-Aqt, that “this decision reflects the authority’s commitment to expanding educational opportunities and alleviating the financial burdens on beneficiaries, which contributes to improving the level of education and economic empowerment for children of poor families.”
He added that "the Authority had previously provided the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research with databases of beneficiaries through networking with the Ministry to ensure that the children of beneficiaries are included in the services provided by the Authority to its beneficiaries, including enhancing academic support for children of families benefiting from social protection."
It is worth noting that the Authority has obtained approval to reduce tuition fees by 50% for the children of beneficiaries for morning and evening government studies.
