The Ministry of Transport reviewed its completed projects in the railway sector under the services government headed by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, confirming the return of 12 lines to service and the creation of new lines.
The ministry's spokesman, Maitham Al-Safi, told the official agency, "The Iraqi General Railway Company has rehabilitated and operated the railway lines that were out of service and is working to complete the operation of all lines in all governorates."
He explained that "the company has completed work on 12 railways to raise their efficiency according to international specifications after service was interrupted for several years, and has also created new lines under the services government." End/25
