    The Council of Representatives is scheduled to hold a session today, Sunday, to discuss and vote on a number of important draft laws that were the subject of disagreement between the parliamentary blocs.
    Badriya Hussein, a representative of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan bloc, told PUKMEDIA: The Council of Representatives will hold its regular session today, Sunday.
    She added: Today's session will witness voting on the draft Personal Status Law No. 188 of 1959, Articles 2 and 10, and voting on the draft law to return real estate to its owners covered by some decisions of the dissolved Revolutionary Command Council and voting on the draft law to amend the second General Amnesty Law No. 27 of 2016.
    She explained: The session will also witness voting on the draft law of the National Intelligence Service and voting on the draft law to amend the first Passport Law No. 32 of 2015. The session will also witness the second reading of the draft law to amend the Federal General Budget Law of the Republic of Iraq for the fiscal years (2023-2024-2025), in addition to the report and the second reading of the draft law to amend the fifth Civil Aviation Law No. (148) of 1974.
    Representative Badriya Hussein said: The dialogues between the parliamentary blocs to pass these projects are ongoing and we hope that a consensus will be reached to pass these projects in today's session.
