    Today, Sunday (December 8, 2024), the Secretary-General of the Ahd Allah Movement in Iraq, Hashem al-Haidari, made statements from the capital, Tehran, in which he confirmed that despite the fall of the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, the war is still in its early stages, indicating that after Syria, Iraq’s turn will come.
    Al-Haidari said in a speech followed by "Baghdad Today" from the Imam Hussein Military University affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards, "Regarding the events in Syria, it should be said that they are still the beginning of the war. I said in my speeches two or three months ago that after Lebanon comes Syria's turn, and after Syria comes Iraq's turn."
    Al-Haidari, who is one of the leaders of the resistance axis, added, “We are facing a major war in Iraq, and the largest American embassy in the entire world is the American embassy in Baghdad, and they must be expelled.”
    The Syrian opposition groups led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham were able to reach the capital Damascus at dawn on Sunday and announce the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime.
