    Economy News - Baghdad
[rtl]Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani confirmed today, Sunday, working to fill the shortage of medical devices and provide them according to available capabilities.[/rtl]

[rtl]The Prime Minister's Media Office stated in a statement received by "Al-Eqsad News" that "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani visited the Ministry of Health, during which he chaired a meeting that included the directors of health in the governorates that have hospitals for joint operation, and the directors of the companies operating the hospitals, in the presence of the Minister of Health and the senior staff of the ministry."[/rtl]

[rtl]During the meeting, the Prime Minister was briefed on "the measures taken regarding the joint operation of hospitals in Baghdad and the governorates, the companies' observations and the obstacles they face," stressing "his continued interest in reviewing all work reports, personally following up on this project, and ensuring the success of the experiment."[/rtl]

[rtl]He welcomed "the companies with which contracts were concluded in the joint management and operation project," noting "the importance of the health sector in the government's program, and the need for more work to provide treatment services to all citizens, and to ensure that all obligations are covered in a way that does not affect other services for citizens."[/rtl]

[rtl]He stressed that "joint operation of hospitals gives us experience, management methods and rare specializations, and reduces the burden on citizens to receive treatment outside Iraq," noting "the necessity of activating the boards of directors, and for them to be effective, with a commitment to training Iraqi cadres."[/rtl]

[rtl]The Prime Minister said during the meeting: “We are witnessing an important shift in the pharmaceutical industry, and drug security is of exceptional importance in our government program,” indicating that “administrative routine is an obstacle that must be overcome in order to reach the provision of health services.”[/rtl]

[rtl]He added, "We emphasize providing administrative facilities while maintaining transparency," noting that "the joint operating method faces technical, administrative and financial challenges, especially in major health institutions and hospitals."[/rtl]

[rtl]He explained that "the health directorates must adhere to the joint management project and find solutions to the obstacles to ease the burden on health institutions," stressing "not obstructing the joint operation project, preparing the requirements for the operating companies, and providing all support to make the project a success at all levels."[/rtl]

[rtl]He continued, "We are working to fill the shortage of medical devices and provide them according to the available capabilities. Companies must commit to appointing cadres according to contracts, and it is the duty of the Ministry of Health to evaluate the doctors who are employed by companies for joint management and operation."[/rtl]

[rtl]He added, "Iraqi doctors are known for their high capabilities and expertise and have always been at the forefront."[/rtl]
