The Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control grants the Iraqi Quality Mark to the Korean company LG

[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / The Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control in the Ministry of Planning granted the Iraqi Quality Mark Certificate to LG Electric Company products, including (air conditioners, cooling devices, and electric ovens), after meeting the legal and technical requirements, and it is the first company to obtain this mark.
The head of the agency, Eng. Fayyad Muhammad Abdul, said, according to a statement by the ministry: "In implementation of the decision of the Ministerial Council for Economy No. 2023, which obligated importers and manufacturing companies to obtain the quality mark for electrical products and cigarettes as a first stage, and considered it a condition for the entry of goods and commodities into the Iraqi markets, and based on the role of the agency in protecting the Iraqi consumer by ensuring the quality of goods and products in the Iraqi markets, the quality mark was granted to LG electrical products, after meeting the legal and technical requirements.
He added that the aim of this mark is to ensure the quality of products entering the Iraqi market, protect the consumer, and reduce industrial and commercial fraud of goods.
He pointed out that the agency formed a technical team to study the legal and technical documents of the companies that submitted an application to obtain the quality mark, including LG, which is one of the Korean companies specialized in electrical products for cooling, heating and home ovens, indicating that the team undertook to study the documents in all their aspects, and carried out an inspection visit to the factories producing these goods in Korea, and took random samples that were examined in laboratories (KTC ), approved for conformity and inspection, after which the inspection and inspection report was submitted, and the approval to grant the quality mark to the company was obtained.
For his part, the regional manager of LG Company, Junk, expressed his happiness in obtaining the Iraqi quality mark in order to provide good products to the Iraqi people, appreciating the efforts of the agency and its effective role in successfully completing the process of granting the mark to their company's products.
The delivery of the Iraqi quality mark certificate was attended by the Commercial Attaché of the Korean Embassy in Iraq, representatives of LG Company, KOICA, the Assistant Director General of the Quality Control Department, and the Director of Certification Granting at the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control. /End9 [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][/rtl]
