    [rtl]The Ministry of Environment announced today, Monday, the formation of a joint committee with the aim of closing industrial activities that violate environmental standards, while indicating that it has worked to open hotlines to receive citizens’ complaints related to environmental pollution.[/rtl]
    [rtl]The official spokesman for the ministry, Louay Al-Mukhtar, said: "A Diwani order No. 241285 was issued, headed by Baghdad Operations and with the membership of the Ministry of Environment, Baghdad Governorate, Baghdad Municipality, Ministry of Health, and the National Security Service."[/rtl]
    [rtl] Al-Mukhtar stressed that "the ministry has accurate monitoring of industrial activities that violate environmental standards," explaining that "with the formation of the joint committee, the ministry will be able to close these activities and ensure the implementation of environmental decisions with the support of the security forces." [/rtl]
    [rtl]He pointed out that "the Baghdad Environment Directorate is conducting random inspection and investigation operations outside the directorate's plan to identify violating activities."[/rtl]
    [rtl] He pointed out that "the Ministry of Environment has launched hotlines to receive citizens' complaints regarding cases that harm the environment and public health," stressing that "the Ministry will deal with these cases firmly in accordance with official directives."[/rtl]
