    [size=45]The Iranian judiciary has called for taking the necessary measures to determine the fate of about 500 Iranian citizens imprisoned in Iraq.[/size]
    [size=45]“There are four cooperation agreements between the two countries, including the transfer of convicts, extradition of criminals, cooperation in the criminal field of legal affairs, and legal and judicial cooperation in criminal matters; these agreements are being properly implemented between the two countries, and legal and judicial interactions between the two countries continue; the head of the judiciary visited Iraq and held meetings on the assassination of martyred Major General Soleimani,” according to Mehr News Agency.[/size]
    [size=45]He added, "According to the latest statistics, there are 499 Iranian citizens imprisoned in Iraq, and 125 Iraqi citizens imprisoned in Iran. We demand that the necessary measures be taken to determine the status of their cases."[/size]
    [size=45]Hakimi added, "In February 2019, judicial cooperation agreements were signed between the judiciary in the two countries during the visit of the then head of the judiciary to Iraq."[/size]
    [size=45]Hakimi referred to, “the measures taken last year and said, “The action plan for legal and judicial cooperation between the judiciary and the Supreme Judicial Council of Iraq during the visit of the head of this council to Iran and the minutes of the meeting of understandings in the first and second rounds of the meeting of the joint judicial committee to combat terrorism between the Secretary of the Human Rights Commission among other judicial agreements between the two countries.”[/size]
