[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / The Parliamentary Finance Committee revealed the path of the draft amendment to the Federal General Budget Law No. 13 of 2023.
The committee member, MP Moeen Al-Kazemi, stated in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /, that "the Finance Committee discussed the draft amendment to the General Budget Law" Article 12 Second C "and hosted officials from the Ministry of Oil, then we agreed to host officials from the Ministry of Finance" the Minister of Finance, the Budget Department and the Accounting Department "in a new meeting, in order to prepare a comprehensive technical report to be presented in the second reading of the draft amendment and open the door for discussions before representatives and representatives of the blocs. "
He explained that "hosting the Minister of Finance and officials from the ministry did not happen, so the second reading of the draft amendment to the law, included in the agenda of the House of Representatives session, was postponed to a later date." He
added, "The Finance Committee pressured to withdraw the draft amendment included in the second reading from the agenda of the House of Representatives session
, in order to benefit from time and allow officials from the Ministry of Finance and the Financial Supervision Bureau to express their observations and mature the discussions before proceeding to the vote after the second reading."
The Parliamentary Finance Committee submitted an official request to the Parliament Presidency to remove the draft amendment to the General Budget Law from the agenda of the House of Representatives session last Thursday./End5
