    Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein met with the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Mohammed Al-Hassani, in a meeting that discussed the latest developments in the region and the steps to end the mission’s mission.
    A statement by the Iraqi Foreign Ministry said that the meeting "focused on the importance of maintaining stability and enhancing regional security. The future of the work of the United Nations Assistance Mission (UNAMI) in Iraq was also discussed, as well as the steps taken so far between the Iraqi authorities and the United Nations regarding ending the mission's tasks in an orderly and smooth manner."
    The statement added that the meeting witnessed "discussing the upcoming meetings that will be held between the two sides in Baghdad and New York, with the aim of following up on the implementation of the necessary procedures to complete the tasks according to the agreed framework and the practical plan prepared for that."
