[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani stressed: "The health sector was and still is among the priorities of the government program.
" Al-Sudani said in a speech at the opening of the 61st session of the Council of Arab Health Ministers: "The citizen has begun to feel the change in the health sector."
He added: "We have made a radical change in the health sector with the activation of health insurance, and we have allocated budgets that will reduce the cost for citizens who receive treatment outside the country."
He continued: "We have taken two parallel paths, the first of which included the advancement of the infrastructure of the health sector, and we have completed dozens of hospitals, specialized centers, and health care centers, and the other by making a radical change in the administrative system of health institutions," indicating that "the adoption of health insurance and joint management of hospitals, through well-known scientific institutions, is an experiment that has begun to expand in its successes, and citizens have begun to feel its fruits, and the state has allocated high funding to complete health care paths, which is funding that will have a positive impact faster than planned."
The Prime Minister explained: "The budgets that Iraqis used to spend on treatment outside Iraq will be dedicated to being part of our national economy and feeding our health services system, as we have made clear strides in localizing the pharmaceutical industry and the noticeable increase in the rate of meeting the need for medicine through local manufacturing."
He continued, saying: "We cannot miss out on shedding light on the moral and humanitarian responsibility represented by the necessity of following up on the shattered health reality that our people in Gaza and all the Palestinian territories are suffering from," indicating: "Iraq was and still is one of the first to take the initiative to help our Palestinian people as they patiently and courageously face the aggression of the occupation and the crimes of genocide." / End [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][/rtl]
