An 11-track Iraqi roadmap for dealing with the new Syria

the official spokesman for the government, Bassem Al-Awadi, revealed to "Al-Sabah" an Iraqi roadmap to deal with the situation in Syria after the end of Bashar al-Assad's regime.
According to Al-Awadi, the map includes (11) tracks, which are: "Iraq did not interfere in Syria's internal affairs, and the national sovereign position was to leave the decision to the Syrians to determine the fate of their country and their future, and that Iraq would not intervene militarily or in any way against the will of the Syrian people."
He added, "Iraq carries an (olive branch) for the new Syrian reality, and is ready to build the best and closest political, economic and other relations, and there are ambitious Iraqi investment plans for the future of relations between the two countries, considering that the Syrian geography is one of the closest destinations towards the Mediterranean Sea for transporting energy back and forth."
"Iraq also rejects the case of (negative intervention) by working with one Syrian party against another, or supporting one political or sectarian group against another, and will work in the case of (positive intervention) as a brother and neighbor to help the Syrian state that unites all Syrians, in addition to the fact that Iraq will not favor any regional axis over any other axis to influence Syria."
The official spokesman continued that "the comprehensive Arab project is Iraq's map for the future of Syria, and the Iraqi movement will be consistent, synchronous, and under the umbrella of the Arab system, and Iraq will not favor any regional project over another in Syria, and will be a contributing factor to the convergence of regional axes."
Al-Awadi explained that "Iraq is moving based on its experience after (2003) and the relationships it has woven, to push the United Nations and major and influential countries to work with Syrian activities and provide them with the necessary support, and Iraq looks forward to opening its embassy, increasing its diplomatic staff, and intensifying its work to be an official link between the two countries." Iraq also hopes for rapid security cooperation between Baghdad and Damascus to secure the common borders and open commercial outlets to facilitate trade and economic exchange. Iraq welcomes all Syrian activities and movements and is ready to listen to various opinions and trends and provide advice.
