The Ministry of Trade announced, today, Friday, the completion of disbursing all dues to farmers and farmers marketing the wheat crop for the 2024 marketing season, in a government move to support farmers who contributed to the success of the season and provide a good stock of grains.
The official spokesman for the ministry, Mohammed Hanoun, said in a statement received by (Mawazine News), that "the ministry has completed the distribution of all dues to farmers and growers marketing wheat in all regions of the country after receiving (395) billion Iraqi dinars from the Ministry of Finance, which represents the last payment of these dues."
Hanoun pointed out that "these amounts were received and deposited with the General Company for Grain Trade, which will distribute them to those entitled to them in the governorates of the region and other governorates during the coming week."
He pointed out that "the completion of the delivery of these amounts comes after the support provided by the Prime Minister for the marketing season for the wheat crop and the exceptional efforts of the Minister of Trade and the Administrative and Financial Department at the Ministry's headquarters, which followed up with the Ministry of Finance to complete the distribution grants for all amounts due for the marketing season."
According to a statement by the Ministry of Commerce, Hanoun called on all farmers and cultivators to visit the branches of the General Company for Grain Trade in the governorates to receive the bonds after completing the audit of the marketing transactions
