The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities announced today, Friday, the disbursement of about 900 billion dinars in housing loans during the year 2024.
The ministry's spokesman, Istibraq Sabah, said that the loans were launched through the Iraqi Housing Fund, as these amounts were allocated to 16,000 loan transactions.
Sabah indicated that the housing loans will be launched on February 2, 2025 for a week via the electronic Ur platform, explaining that these loans are facilitated and aim to support citizens in building new housing units or adding a building within the standards and conditions specified by the Housing Fund.
Sabah stressed that the initiatives of the Ministry of Construction and Housing focus on reducing the housing gap, through new residential city projects and residential complexes that the ministry supervises the implementation and delivery of to the beneficiary governorates, indicating that the fund continues to provide facilitated loans to support citizens in meeting their housing needs. The
Iraqi Housing Fund also set February 2, 2025 as the date for opening electronic applications for loans via the Ur platform, with the application continuing for a week, noting that specific days have been allocated for each governorate according to a schedule that will be announced later.
The statement stressed that the application will include an electronic comparison between applicants according to the specified points to ensure that loans are granted to the most deserving.
