Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -The Tourism and Antiquities Parliamentary Committee announced its intention to sue several foreign countries to restore the Iraqi stolen antiquities.
The head of the Committee, Baker Hama, stated to IraqiNews.com “We sued Britain, Germany, Spain and USA to restore the Iraqi antiquities looted after 2003.”
“Some lawsuit cases came with advanced results since among 79 antiquities there are 78 pieces brought back to Iraq which is a very excellent achievement,” he added.
“There are some other countries to be sued to restore other stolen antiquities,” he concluded.
