With the seasons changing, is there anything I should do to help my dog be comfortable during the fall months?
Great question! Seasonal changes can have a great impact on your pet. We checked in with veterinary technician Sharon Gardner and this is her advice:

    • Now that it's not so hot out, you and your dog can spend a little more time doing outdoor activities without the worry of your pet overheating. Still be sure to bring water for longer outdoor romps to keep your dog hydrated.

    • Rodents start trying to move indoors as the temperatures drop. If you must use rodenticides in your home, be sure that your dog cannot access them in any way. These could be highly fatal to your pet.

    • When you're romping outside, keep your dog away from wild mushrooms. Ingesting them could cause serious health issues, so it's best to keep an eye on what your dog is getting into.

    • Make the most of these cooler months before winter sets in! There are many fun outdoor activities you can do with your pet during the fall.
