The minister's office said in a statement seen by 'Obelisk', The 'Defense Minister Khaled al-Obeidi, chaired an important meeting with senior Russian delegation led by head of the Russian Federal Service Alexander Fomin'.
The statement added, that 'the meeting is to discuss military cooperation between Moscow and Baghdad. "
The Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi stressed, in (6 October 2015), that the Quartet operations recently established between Iraq and Russia, Iran and Syria Room 'did not start the real work after', and while denied the existence of intention by the government to bring in foreign ground troops on Iraqi territory, He stressed that fighting al 'Daash' not only by Iraqi fighters.
