Supreme religious authority (SISTANI): There is no real difference between Sunnis and Shiites and the Shiites will defend their rights this year before their rights

    Ahmed Saadi / Shatt al-Arab - 03/22/2013 - 6:16 pm | Hits: 29

    The news agency here south

Confirmed Shiite cleric in Iraq, Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani Tuesday, that there are no real differences between Sunnis and Shiites, adding we are servants for all Iraqis.

Mr. Sistani said in a speech delivered at the first gathering of Sunni and Shiite scholars in Iraq in the holy city of Najaf, saying: (I love everyone, and religion is love, impressed by how he was able to distinguish between enemies Islamic sects).
He went on to say: (these councils and meetings are important and useful as everyone knows that there are no real differences between the Sunni and Shi’a, the points of disagreement between the Shiites and Sunnis in doctrinal issues of the Quran (Koran) that exist between believers in the same ISLAM).

Mr. Sistani: (Today the Shi’ite must defend the human and political rights of the minority Sunni). THIS MEANS WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER OUR DIFFERENCES ON WHAT WE BELIEVE THE QURAN TO SAY IS OUR ONLY DIFFERENCE. THE RIGHTS OF THE SUNNI, WHO ARE BEING PERSECUTED, NEEDS TO BE PROTECTED BY THE SHI’ITE AND EVERYONE ELSE IN IRAQ – IT IS ALL OF OUR RESPONSIBILITY.

He added: that (our call is for unity, from now on do not say to tell our Sunni brothers, Say (tell ourselves and the Sunnis), as we are together. I listened to sermons of imams Friday from Sunnis and from Shia. We do not differentiate between an Arab and Kurd, that Islam (the religion) is the one who brings us together).

He explained he was referring in his research in jurisprudence (to Sunni imam’s fatwas, that claim we are united by the heel and are of one prayer and one fast. When he says to me times past was Sunni rule by the days of the former regime (SADDAM) now is the rule of the Shiite (MALIKI) – SISTANI SAYS: WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE THIS WAY? He said our (THE SHI’ITE) mandate or our quest has to be for the entirety of the people of the house (IRAQ), then I say to Sunni imams that they also need to defend the same mandate or quest be for the entirety of the people of the house (IRAQ)).

He added: (Many Shi’ite’s died during the Sunni Rule (SADDAM). But I am with everyone and demanding all of their rights).

Saleh al-Haidari, head of the Shiite Endowment in a speech during the conference, (that Iraq now looks real hope and that the country now stands on the threshold of peace and love and the need to leave behind the devastation caused by multiple parties).

He also added: (We need to strive to accept ONE opinion. We need to offer complementary toleration and be supportive and be supportive partners, after all there should be a realization that racial differences, the citizen’s regional, factional and sectarian differences cause aggressive extremism in forms that do not achieve any goal for any party).

I have participated in the forum crowd of clergy from Sunnis and Shiites, as well as from the Kurds.
