The heart is a vital organ to all of us. It is the core of the body and without it, the entire body cannot function. When some people find they have a condition of the heart, they may require heart surgery to work properly again.
For some of us, we can tell something is wrong deep within our inward part, our spiritual heart, because we're not functioning properly. Our pursuit is more on temporal things and not on the will of God. We have become fearful, instead of faithful. We sin and it doesn't seem to bother us like it use to. We love people only when it is convenient. We don't seek God like we use to.
This is not the time to continue on as if everything is okay, if it is not. God, the Great Physician, is doing heart surgery in these times and real spiritual heart surgery requires a real openness to Him, just like a physical one.
As a doctor uses a scalpel to perform physical surgery, God uses His Word to perform His. What He speaks through His word truly can and will change you. His truth makes you free. Pray and find scriptures specific to that issue, specific to what you are dealing with, specific to where you are, so God can help you live again.
Prayer: Father, thank You in advance for helping me. This is where I am. I believe in the changing power of Your Word. Bring the light of Your truth into the inward part or me and help me live for You. I thank You for a clean heart and making me free. In Jesus' name, Amen.
