God chose to lead the children of Israel by cloud in the day and fire by night. Whenever the cloud remained, they remained. Whenever the cloud moved, they moved with it. The Israelites had to move with the cloud and with the fire, which represented allowing God to lead them. Even if they wanted to stay where they were, they moved when God wasn't there any longer.
Today, God isn't leading us by a cloud or by fire, He leads and guides us by His Spirit. The greatest times and moments in my life have been where God was, where He desired me to be, within His perfect will. The joy, the peace, the favor, the rest and the grace of God was being experienced like I never before. Then, a shift would come. I was enjoying where I was, but God moved and I had to move with Him. To be where God is, we have to learn to shift.
Just like a cloud, the Holy Spirit will move on your heart. Just like a fire, you will having a burning desire authored by the Holy Spirit to do something else. Whether you were there a day, month or year, the will of God for you is up where you are, and it is time to move with Him in another direction to your promised land.
Prayer: Father, help me learn how to shift with You. I desire stay where You stay and move exactly when You lead me to move. Lead me Holy Spirit and help me recognize Your voice. Help me trust You and not be afraid. I thank You for being in Your perfect will for me. In Jesus' name, Amen
