    Customs
    Authority announced in the southern region, Friday, the Ministry of
    Finance issued new instructions to save land and maritime border ports
    in Basra of the recession hit recently, called the provincial Council
    Ministry not to impose further restrictions on imports through the
    ports.

    The Director of the customs authority in the southern area
    of Aref Abdullah Hamza, in an interview for "alsumaria news", "the
    Finance Ministry has issued new instructions to solve the problem of the
    accumulation of goods at land border and marine ports in Basra",
    stating that "the problem caused by previous ministerial instructions to
    require traders to provide certificates of origin issued by the country
    of production of the goods".

    Hamzah pointed out that "the
    Ministry allowed the merchants under new instructions enter goods
    stacked in border ports provided financial insurance equivalent to 20%
    of the value of the goods, if not brought required documents after 40
    days confiscated insurance", adding that "the Ministry also agreed to
    adopt a certificate of origin issued by the intermediary instead of
    country certificate of origin issued by the producing country of the
    goods".

    For his part, said the head of the provincial Council
    this morning in an interview with Franck "alsumaria news", "land and
    maritime border ports in Basra paralyzed in recent weeks because of the
    actions of the Ministry of finance, which suffered heavy losses last
    month, adding that" the new instructions to the Ministry of finance will
    solve the problem, it is hoped to restore the border activity. "

    Franck
    Finance Ministry called "not to obstruct imports through the ports of
    Basra", adding that "Unfortunately, many types of goods had come from
    Iran and go to and from the movement of Kurdistan to Basra, sometimes
    come from Kuwait and Iraq through the ports to Western and northern
    provinces and then transported by truck to neighboring Basra to Kuwait."

    The
    Chair noted that "Basra would not accept the application instructions
    on the border outlets differ from the established border crossings
    within the other provinces", "totally unacceptable actions border
    crashes in Basra, while the Kurdistan border ports at full capacity."

    Basra
