Economic: increased demands for infrastructure law

    01/04/13 10: 45

    The
parliamentary Economic Committee expected to include law of the
infrastructure within the agenda of the House of representatives and by a
majority vote, signature collection 60 deputies to reopen the law
    again.

He said the Commission's decision and the Kurdistan
Alliance MP mehma Khalil for sourcing Centre for the Iraqi media network
"infrastructure Act of important laws dating to the previous
parliamentary session where there are differences, owing to its clear
    legal gaps".

Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki had called on 15
September 2012 to vote on the Bill, adding that infrastructure project
ensures the advancement of the country's infrastructure, adding that it
would contract with solid companies from Japan, Korea and China to
implement infrastructure projects, demanding the House allocated $ 37
    billion for the projects.

    Member of the Economic Committee,
national bloc MP white Aziz Al-mayahi said in an interview for "sourcing
Centre for the Iraqi media network" signature was collected 60 deputies
to include infrastructure act within the House sessions, adding that
the signing of the 25 MPs had enough of this, noting that the signatures
have been collected from various blocs except Kurdistan Alliance who
    lose sight of House sessions.

And nibble on some political blocs
Craps that stands against the adoption of this law because it does not
want the Government to succeed in providing services to citizens without
a valid reason though the importance the law allocates $ 5 billion to
build the role of distributed free to the poor.

    The Attorney
explained that the adoption of the budget by the political majority
encouraged many members of the House of representatives to consider the
vote on many of the laws affecting the Iraqi people and infrastructure
law including deputies of iraqiya list, expected to be voted by the
majority in the case of its inclusion in the agenda of the House of
    representatives.

The Iraqi list confirmed earlier that it would
not vote on the draft law on infrastructure without amendments demanded
by identifying geographical areas where project implementation after
enactment of the law. caused the law rebuilding infrastructure and
service sectors with increased friction between parliamentary blocs
forcing deputies to postpone the vote more than once.

    The
Commission also announced services and reconstruction request to the
Presidency of the parliamentary lower House includes infrastructure code
inserted into the agenda of the Council for a vote during the
    forthcoming meetings.

The Committee Member said Ihsan Al-Awadi
for sourcing Centre for the Iraqi media network on Sunday: "the
Committee met and decided to submit a request to the Chair of the House
demanding the inclusion of the law includes the infrastructure within
the agenda of the Council for the vote on the fact that all the
negotiations and discussions on paragraphs of law has ended."

    Awadi
said that "If the lack of response led by the House Committee's
request, it would be a political position taken by the Chair of the
infrastructure law", noting that "more than once again reiterates its
    demand to the Council Presidency.

    He said: "the discussions and
negotiations between the political parties within the Commission
services has ended and it is currently headed by the House of
representatives for a vote," pointing out that "it is not possible to
keep the chairmanship of the House legislation is pending.

    According
to the Parliamentary Committee on the follow-up to the infrastructure
Bill last month, the absence of any substantive issues in the draft law
hamper adoption. The Bill submitted by the Government on infrastructure
projects with payment term up to 42 billion dollars.

    The draft
law since the previous parliamentary session worth $ 72 billion and
rejected political backgrounds as the Government says, in many ways
    reintroduced in the current session.
