Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -The head of the parliament Foreign Relations Committee, Humam Hamoudi, discussed with the Canadian Foreign Minister, John Braid, the bilateral relations and means of enhancing them.
A statement by the parliament’s media office reported on Monday “Hamoudi received the Canadian FM and his accompanying delegation at the Iraqi parliament’s building in presence of the Iraqi FM Undersecretary and the Iraqi Ambassador to Canada.”
“The two sides discussed the Iraqi-Canadian bilateral relations and ways to develop them,” according to the statement.
Hamoudi called the Canadian officials to boost the diplomatic representation of Canada in Iraq, where he also invited the Canadian companies to take part in rebuilding Iraq,” the statement added.
“For his part, the Canadian Minister expressed his pleasure to visit Iraq’s parliament, stressing his country’s support to the democratic modifications in Iraq,” the statement concluded.
