    Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi confirmed the importance of staying awaying the military from politics.
    Prime Minister’s media office said in a statement today that Al-Abadi held a meeting with the Head and members of the parliamentary security and defense committee and they, discussed during the meeting, the importance of perpetuating the momentum of victories of our armed forces and support and provide all that would liberate the occupied areas from the terrorist gangs and the liberation of Mosul, as well as cooperation and coordination with the committee and the enactment of important laws for the security and military forces and armament contracts, processing and activation of the regulatory side and a number of other topics. “
    The Prime Minister noted that “the supervisory work of the Parliament and of the security and defense committee is important and the basis of compatibility with the work between the executive and legislative branches.”
    He stressed “the importance of the military push for political action, indicating that the Government was paying attention to the forces of the army and police and the popular crowd.”
    He continued that the security and military establishment restored self-confidence and was able to achieve victories and necessary support.”
    For its part, the security and defense committee expressed its support for the Prime Minister and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces Haider al-Abadi and security and military institution. / End
