    Arab Monetary Fund will lend Jordan $ 24 million

    signed the Arab Monetary Fund agreement with Jordan, which introduced a new loan of 42 million US dollars in order to meet the general budget of the Kingdom of Jordan's deficit.


    According to a statement of the Fund seen by «morning» that the amount of the loan aimed at the face of the overall balance of payments deficit, resulting from the impact of factors Foreign unfavorable, it is the sluggish recovery of the global economy, and in particular the European economy, the business partner of President of Jordan, and the implications for foreign trade, foreign investment and the balance of payments situation. 

    The Arab Monetary Fund at the forefront of development in the Kingdom of Jordan partners, due to its role in supporting the economic and financial reform programs adopted by Jordan during the past years, to achieve a comprehensive and sustainable economic growth, and to establish and strengthen the infrastructure of the financial sector and banking, necessary to ensure the success of the development plans in various fields to achieve goals.

    recall that providing this loan, the Arab Monetary Fund has provided the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan 21 loans with a total value estimated at 751 million US dollars.

    On the other hand, the fund provided by the Arab trade financing program, credit facilities to finance Jordan's foreign trade, which concluded Jordan accredited program agencies, and number fifteen agency .62 lines of credit agreement with a total value exceeding 825 million US dollars. The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and also benefit from the trade promotion initiatives organized by the program periodically. This brings the total value of the support provided by the Fund of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for about 1.6 billion US dollars.

    No cooperation between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Arab Monetary Fund on the financial side of relationships, where the fund offers through training opportunities for economic policy official Jordanian operating in the financial hardware technical cadres of the Institute are limited and monetary and statistical. In this context, he participated so far 579 trainees in courses, seminars and workshops organized by the Fund in various economic and banking, monetary and financial areas. 

    And take advantage of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, from direct technical aid programs that support reform efforts in the Arab countries, and initiatives adopted by the Fund in order to achieve the purposes, and the frame means at his disposal, to develop infrastructure, financial and banking sector, as an initiative to develop Mrkzaat risk systems, which have contributed to enable Jordan establishment of the first credit office (Credit Bureau), and the Arab initiative for the development of payment and settlement systems.
