Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -The parliament Ahrar bloc announced its intention to abort the amendment conducted on the Accountability & Justice Law (Debaathification).
The head of the bloc, Baha al-Araji, said on Tuesday “Ahrar bloc was not a part of the commission formed by the Iraqi National Alliance to consider the demonstrators’ demands despite our uphold for these demonstrations and the legitimate demands.”
“But, we also rejected some of illegitimate demands most notably the demands of amending the A & J Law because we do not want the tyranny to be back again to the political process,” he added
The Council of Ministers amended the Debaathification law on last Sunday.
