    Shafaq
News/The Parliamentary Committee of Integrity announced that the
governor of Iraq’s central bank, Sinan al-Shabibi was dismissed because
he refused to grant money to the government’s head.

    Jawad
Al-Shaheli, a member in the Parliamentary Committee of Integrity said at
a news conference attended by “Shafaq News” Iraq’s tribune dismissed
charges of wasting public money against Shabibi and that the
investigation proved there was no corruption in the central bank, but
“money laundering carried out by some banks and commercial
    institutions”.

“Targeting al- Shabibi was personal, it was not an
anti-corruption move regards a waste of public money as they claimed,”
    Al-Shaheli said.

“Shabibi’s staff was and still one of the best financial and economic one”.

    Al-Shaheli
also revealed that both judiciary and legislature authorities demanded
the government to detail the amount of damage made to the public money
    but there was no response.

    Regarding the reasons behind the
removal of Shabibi from office is “his refrain from giving Prime
Minister, Nuri al-Maliki, an amount of Iraqi capital reserves to fund
the government, which is outside the framework of law and fairness”.

    The
Iraqi government decided at the end of October 2012 to appoint the head
of the Financial Supervision Office Abdul Basit Turki as CBI’s governor
to replace the dismissed Shabibi who accused of bad management of the
    funds

Ok, old news and realized. Probably for the best as Maliki would of been objective to the banking cartels rules then, so possibly a blessing in disguise.. ;)

    A
new scandal for the Government: integrity declare innocence of Sinan
Al-Shabibi and cadre of Central Bank charges heme prepared was for
personal reasons behind failure to deliver Government SHIBIB part of
    foreign exchange reserves

    The
integrity Commission announced in the House of representatives,
Tuesday, that a Court of inquiry to consider issues of integrity
superseded the charges against Central Bank Governor Sinan Al-Shabibi,
describing the article removed from Office "personally targeted" for his
failure to award money to Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.

    Committee
member Jawad told alshahili that "a Court of inquiry to consider the
integrity issues proved that no income to the Central Bank, Sinan
Al-Shabibi, head of the former process wasted money cited by the
investigative committee formed by House and not even the report of the
    Office of financial supervision."

    "The targeting of Sinan
Al-Shabibi is personal not targeted against corruption and waste of
public money as they claim they are, because in accordance with the
decisions of the Court to the Bank and most of the House claimed by what
amount to public money, but Parliament did not answer because of lack
    of evidence."

"The wrong policies of the Central Bank didn't
commit but banks still sitting at the heart of the Bank associated with
major political figures, as well as consulates and trade missions in
some capitals including Dubai and Oman to add to the State of Qatar".

    "The
crew of Sinan Al-Shabibi was and still is one of the best financial and
economic teams."The causes of failure to request exclusion Shabibi
Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki to give him a sum of money the Iraqi
Government funding reserve which is outside the framework of law and
    integrity ".

"The investigation has shown that there is
corruption in the Bank already, but there's money laundering by some
    banks and commercial missions."

    The Iraqi Government decided to
end the October of last year, the appointment of the head of the Office
of financial supervision Abdel Basset Turki instead of Sinan Al-Shabibi
article by Government decision, following criticism by the parliamentary
Finance Committee relating to the mismanagement of funds to other bank
    officials, Al-Shabibi.

What I meant by Old News was that was said a couple days ago, I just didn't realize he was coming to Iraq in the other report you mentioned until a few minutes ago.
