Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -The spokesperson of the parliament Ahrar bloc, Mushriq Naji, said on Tuesday “The recent statement of Ibrahim al-Jaafary, head of the Iraqi National Alliance, does not represent the INA’s general viewpoint, but it expresses the State of Law Coalition’s perspective.
Naji added in a statement to IraqiNews.com “The INA had refused the Baathists’ re-assumption for the governmental offices, and the amendment on the Accountability & Justice Law during the previous meetings of the INA Political Bureau.”
“Ahrar bloc pointed out its stance towards these amendments in presence of Jaafary,” he added noting “what was reported by Jaafary when he said that these amendments are approved by all the INA components is incorrect.”
The Council of Ministers amended the Debaathification law on last Sunday.
