Radio Host Asks Trump to Weigh in on ‘Suspicious Circumstances’ of Scalia’s Death: ‘I Can’t Give You an Answer’
    Feb. 16, 2016 11:18am Leigh Munsil

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump may have tossed a little fuel on conspiracy theory fires yesterday in a radio interview, saying that the way Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia was found dead this weekend was “pretty unusual.”
Host Michael Savage of “The Savage Nation” had just finished an hour-and-a-half segment on whether Scalia “was murdered” when Trump called in Monday.
“I need to come back to the topic we’ve been all screaming about here, which is Scalia, was he murdered?” Savage said. “I know it’s pretty brutal to say that, and I’m not wanting to drag you into this, but this is going to get bigger and bigger and bigger.”
Savage asked Trump what he thought, and the 2016 candidate said there are unanswered questions surrounding Scalia’s death from apparent natural causes Saturday.
“Well, I just heard today and that just a little while ago actually. You know, I just landed and I’m hearing it’s a big topic — that’s the question,” Trump said. “And it’s a horrible topic, but they say they found a pillow on his face, which is a pretty unusual place to find a pillow. I can’t tell you what — I can’t give you an answer. You know usually I like to give you answers but I literally just heard it a little while ago. It’s just starting to come out now, as you know, Michael.”
Savage went on that “there’s a lot more to it than that,” but added that he didn’t want to drag Trump into something he hadn’t yet studied.
“I think after you look into these facts, Donald, you yourself will have to come to some different conclusions than you may think,” Savage said.
The two started to talk about Trump’s threats to sue Texas Sen. Ted Cruz about his Canadian citizenship, but Savage jumped right back into his rant about the “suspicious circumstances” of Scalia’s death.
Now, President Barack Obama is “trying to railroad Loretta Lynch down our throats. … Can you believe this?” Savage asked Trump.
“Oh, it’s Loretta Lynch. … Did that actually come out today?” Trump said. “That’s amazing. OK, so that’s where they are.”
But Savage quickly moved on, suggesting that Trump isn’t able to say much on the topic because of the 2016 race.
“I’m in talk radio, you’re running for the presidency, it’s two different worlds in some ways, and I don’t want to drag you into my world,” he said.
