    Solenostemon scutellaroides

    • Type: Annual
    • Light: Part shade
    • Plant spacing: 12 to 18 inches apart
    • Plant size: 10 to 15 inches tall

Coleus has brilliant leaves that brighten shady garden areas, especially when combined with ferns, impatiens, hostas, and other shade-loving plants. Easy to grow. Whether planted singly or used in groups for a mass of color, this is a great plant that will give you color throughout the warm season. It is especially appreciated in wet seasons when too much rain is really hard on flowers, but the leaves of Coleus just get better.
Plant after danger of frost is past. Pinch off the flowers when they appear to keep plants bushy. Keep soil evenly moist.
Some Bonnie Plants varieties may not be available at your local stores, as we select and sell varieties best suited to the growing conditions in each region.
