Secretary General of OPEC, Abdullah al-Badri said the top oil producers in the world has been studying "other steps" for the liquidation of oversupply in the global markets if successful preliminary agreement to freeze production for several months.
Badri said during his speech conference in Houston that the shale oil producers Americans Cisaron to resume operations if prices recovered to $ 60 from $ 30 a barrel currently.
He said, referring to the oil shale projects "I do not know how I shall live together."
He explained that the price has fallen more than 70 percent in 20 months does not look like the previous ascent and landing cycles.
"If prices go up in 2017 or 2018, the American rock Sakbh oil price rise. That is the difference this time. "
The new-Badri emphasized its readiness to work with oil producers inside OPEC and outside to drain the glut of global supply, which reduced prices to their lowest levels in more than ten years, saying that the agreement in principle to freeze production reached Saudi Arabia, Russia and other producers last week is just the beginning.
"The first step to freeze production. We may take in the event of success other steps in the future. "
But Iran, which is a major obstacle to the agreement after it pledged to increase production strongly since the lifting of sanctions last month, did not officially sign the agreement so far, casting doubt on its application.
Badri said OPEC would like to wait for three or four months to see if it would hold.
