Iran slams proposal to freeze oil production and calls Balamadg

    2/24/16

BAGHDAD / obelisk: quoted Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA), Tuesday, Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh as saying that a proposal from oil producers to coordinate freeze production of "laughable" because it does not allow Iran to regain market share lost during the sanctions.

Zanganeh said, "Some of our neighbors have increased their production to 10 million barrels per day in the past few years and issue this amount .. and now they have the audacity to say that we are all of us must freeze our production together."

"That they freeze their production at 10 million barrels and we are we have to freeze our production at one million barrels .. This proposal laughable."

The report pushed oil prices to a further decline with the decline in the global Brent crude contracts for Brent 1.90 percent to $ 34.03 a barrel by 1450 GMT, while US crude futures fell 2.64 percent to $ 32.05.
