    The Oil Ministry announced on Thursday, enabling it to invest about 50% of the associated gas from the gas fields of Iraq, indicating that Iraq's production of associated gas, a billion and one hundred standard cubic meters per day.
    A spokesman for the Oil Ministry, Assem Jihad, said in an interview to the (long-Presse), "The volume of investment for the associated gas from the Iraqi oil fields amounted to 50%," noting that "Iraq's production of associated gas currently stands at one billion and 100 million cubic meters record (Mqmq) days. "
    Jihad said, "The ministry opened a gas station in the Majnoon field to processing Rumaila power station, west of Basra, part of a project to reduce gas associated with oil burning operations," stressing that "the station will be dealt with first Bmrahltha 70 million standard cubic feet per day, equivalent to the fuel needed to provide to produce 300 megawatts of electricity. "
    The Ministry of Oil, announced in (the tenth of February, the current 2016), the opening of a gas station in the Majnoon field to processing Rumaila power station, west of Basra, part of a project to reduce gas associated with oil burning operations, confirmed that the station will contribute to the fuel needed to provide for the production of 300 megawatts of electricity.
    It is noteworthy that Iraq burn billions of cubic meters of natural gas associated with crude oil produced from wells, (12 billion just from the fields of Basra, they cost more than the $ 15 billion a year), while the import of gas from Iran to meet the local needs at a cost estimated at more than four billion dollars annually.
