Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -The First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi parliament, Qusai al-Sihail, discussed with the Swedish Ambassador to Iraq, Jorgen Lindstrom, enhancing the bilateral relations between both countries as well as discussing the political situation in Iraq and the region.
A statement by the media office of Sihail reported on Monday “Sihail received the Swedish Ambassador to Iraq where they discussed Sweden and the European Union’s role in relieving Iraq from the UN Charter’s 7th Chapter in addition to reviewing the means to develop the mutual ties of both countries.”
“The 1st Deputy Speaker stressed the necessity of attracting the Swedish companies to participate in rebuilding Iraq as the country has promising investment opportunities,” according to the statement.
