    Inc. (ABB), the Swiss specialist in electrical energy technologies, announced Thursday, has won a contract to build "the largest" gas power station in Iraq's ability subset 400/132 (KV), while confirming that the contract value of $ 100 million.

    For his part, director of the mechanisms of the company, Claudio Vaschen through the statement, "The contracted by the station will help to secure the required electrical power and expand the capabilities of electrical infrastructure in Iraq and strengthened."
    The Ministry of Electricity has already contracted with the Swiss ABB company, in 2012, to modernize the national control center, in three years' worth of 1,000,850 thousand dollars, and that the Kurdistan region contracted in 2013 to build four power stations capacity of 600 megawatts, worth about $ 30 million.
     Electricity and is one of the chronic problems in Iraq, as it failed successive governments after 2003 to find a "radical solution" to alleviate the suffering of the citizens, especially after it was the deterioration of this vital service among the causes of "aggravation of discontent" popular more than once, most recently continuous movement since ( 31st of July 2015 the past), to demand better services and the fight against corruption and reform of the political process.
