[ltr][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]London - Iraq Press - March 5 / March: TheTimes published a report on the exodus of Syrians and Iraqis fleeing the war in their country and itsreflection on asylum applications in Europe.
According to the Times, based on the latest statistics, the number of asylum seekers in theEuropean Union last year doubled to a record 1.25 million people, because of the increasing number ofrefugees from the Middle East and Afghanistan.
Remember , statistics cited by the newspaper thatthe Syrians and Iraqis and Afghans are more asylum seekers, and a third of them meant Germany.
The newspaper quoted Lord Greene, president of the British Observatory for Migration, and theproposal to reduce the number of immigrants, saying that the European Union demands to disclose economic migrants and distinguish them from providing they are refugees.
Lord Greene warned that the sheer number makes it difficult or even impossible to distinguish between the real refugee and immigrant economic reasons.
He added that the influx of immigrants will increase constantly, what the European Union did not succeed in the task ofidentifying genuine refugees than others.
And witnessed the 2015 wave of the great migration , including Iraq and Syria , by virtue of war experienced by the two conditions, and wire most migrants roads illegally via Turkey through the sea and then to Greece and then to European countries, and that was the trip risky, especially with regard to the sea, as the killing of hundreds of immigrants killed as a resultof the sinking of the boats that were traveling by virtue of high waves and the inability of those boats to withstand.
