Is Ted Cruz A Globalist? THE TRUTH. Empty Is Ted Cruz A Globalist? THE TRUTH.

    Post by duck2000 Sun 27 Mar 2016, 7:02 am

Over the past week, there have been multiple articles regarding Heidi Cruz, her position at Goldman Sachs and her term membership on the Council of Foreign Relations (CFR). Not one of these articles gave any in-depth explanation – just unproven accusations and theories.
This is an in-depth look at all of the facts, with no theories or loose connections.
Let us evaluate the “globalist” agenda and Cruz’s past, to see if this accusation holds any truth.

Accusation: Ted Cruz and wife want to create a “North American Union” between Canada, Mexico and the United States. They are globalists who seek to eventually establish a “New World Order” via the United Nations.

Is Ted Cruz A Globalist? THE TRUTH. 27C075D700000578-3045216-Accompanying_Cruz_on_the_trip_was_his_wife_Heidi_She_s_pictured_-a-39_1429568299662
In 2005, Heidi Cruz was a term member for an INDEPENDENT task force sponsored by The Council of Foreign Relations.
    What is the CFR?
Founded in 1921, the Council on Foreign Relations is an independent, national membership organization and a nonpartisan center for scholars dedicated to producing and disseminating ideas so that individual and corporate members, as well as policymakers, journalists, students,
    and interested citizens in the United States and other countries, can better understand the world and the foreign policy choices facing the United States and other governments. The Council does this by convening meetings;conducting a wide-ranging Studies program; publishing Foreign Affairs, the preeminent journal covering international affairs and U.S. foreign policy;

maintaining a diverse membership; sponsoring Independent Task Forces; and providing up-to-date information about the world and U.S. foreign policy on the Council’s website, www.cfr.org.
THE COUNCIL TAKES NO INSTITUTIONAL POSITION ON POLICY ISSUES AND HAS NO AFFILIATION WITH THE U.S. GOVERNMENT. ALL STATEMENTS OF FACT AND EXPRESSIONS OF OPINION CONTAINED IN ITS PUBLICATIONS ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE AUTHOR OR AUTHORS.
Description of the Independent Task Force of which Mrs. Cruz was a member via The Council of Foreign Relations:
The Task Force offers a detailed and ambitious set of proposals that build on the recommendations adopted by the three governments at the Texas summit of March 2005. The Task Force’s central recommendation is  -establishment, by 2010, of a North American economic and security community, the boundaries of which would be defined by a common external tariff and an outer security perimeter. Unlike previous Council-sponsored Task Forces, this project was international, or tri-national to be precise. The membership was comprised of policy practitioners, scholars, and business leaders from
    each of the three countries.
When you go to the local hardware store and set up an installation, the hardware store probably won’t be doing your installation. These companies hire outside installers to do the work, but take a percentage of the payment. This is how I would describe the Independent Task Force Mrs. Cruz took part in. She was hired to give a dissenting opinion of a plan to help strengthen the borders and increase economic stability between the countries within North America. That is exactly what she did:

I support the Task Force report and its recommendations aimed at building a safer and more prosperous North America. Economic prosperity and a world safe from terrorism and other security threats are no doubt inextricably linked. While governments play an invaluable role in both regards, we must emphasize the imperative that economic investment be led and perpetuated by the private sector. There is no force proven like the market for aligning incentives, sourcing capital, and producing results like financial markets and profit-making businesses. This is simply necessary to sustain a higher living standard for the poorest among us—truly the measure of our success. As such, investment funds and financing mechanisms should be deemedattractive instruments by those committing the capital and should only be developed in conjunction with market participants. Heidi S. Cruz
Another reason for this claim, is that Heidi Cruz works for Goldman Sachs. This claim is actually true. However, Ted Cruz is running for President, NOT Heidi Cruz.. so I fail to see the problem.
    According to Investment News :
Heidi Cruz, a Harvard Business School graduate who worked in President George W. Bush’s administration, joined New York-based Goldman Sachs in 2005 and was promoted to managing director, the firm’s second-highest rank, in 2012. She serves as regional head of the Houston office in the private wealth-management unit, which serves individuals and families who have on average more than $40 million with the firm.
Ron Paul has been a strong voice, even nationally, against the CFR for a long time now, see video below:

What seems odd, is that according to The Texas Tribune, Ron Paul AND Rand Paul endorsed Cruz during his run for the Senate. As a strong advocate against the CFR, Ron Paul would not have endorsed Cruz as a “defender of liberty” if he believed that Ted Cruz was a threat to the sovereignty of the United States of America.

Ron Paul and his son, U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., gave ringing endorsements to Cruz’s bid to replace U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison. Ron Paul urged Texans at the event to “send Ted to the Senate because Rand needs help.
Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., said his father was “one of the intellectual godfathers of the Tea Party.”
“The revolution is working, we have infiltrated the Republican Party, and we will convert the Republican Party to defenders of liberty,” he said.
And both Paul’s threw their support behind Cruz, who is in a crowded GOP fight for the nomination to succeed Kay Bailey Hutchison the U.S. Senate.
“You have a candidate in Ted Cruz, I hope you’ll give him a chance, if you give him a chance you’ll have a real hero from Texas and you need one, he understands the constitution and what it’s about,” Rand Paul said.
If there is a “New World Order” agenda on the rise, it is reasonable to assume that a gun ban would be helpful. I fail to believe the people (especially in the South) would be copacetic with a one world government. How does one accomplish that goal with an entire country of armed citizens?
Ted Cruz has been a constant member of the fight for the United States’ Second Amendment to the Constitution. Not only did he represent the State of Texas at the Supreme Court to fight for the 2nd Amendment, but he regularly has rallies for gun rights.
Sen. Ted Cruz Leads Fight to Defend 2nd Amendment In Wake of Efforts to Increase Gun Control – VISITS LARUE TACTICAL GUN MANUFACTURER
LEANDER, TX – U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) today held a press conference discussing the importance of defending the Second Amendment in the wake of calls for increased gun control at the federal level. He spoke at LaRue Tactical, a nationally-renowned gun manufacturer located outside of Austin.
“Evidence overwhelmingly demonstrates that when the rights of law-abiding citizens to protect themselves, their homes and their families are taken away, that violent crime increases and citizens are left more vulnerable to violent criminals,” said Sen. Cruz. “The Supreme Court made absolutely clear that the Second Amendment is a constitutional right of every American and constitutional rights are designed to be protected not just when they’re popular, but especially when passions are high among those seeking to restrict and limit those rights. While we should use every available means to deter and to punish mass murderers, the federal government should not be trying to ban gun ownership for law-abiding Americans.”

Another problematic issue point for the “Globalist” claim, is the fact that Cruz has routinely attacked climate change and the existence thereof.
Many disbelievers refer to the climate change agenda as a scam to help bring in the “New World Order”.

Citing satellite data showing no significant warming, Cruz explained why he thinks those who promote the idea of climate change choose to ignore such facts.
“Climate change is not science. It’s religion,” Cruz told Glenn Beck.
To back up his claim, Cruz pointed to the way we talk about climate change.
“Look at the language where they call you a ‘denier,'” he said. “Denier is not the language of science. Look, I’m the child of two scientists … The essence of the scientific method is to start with a hypothesis, then look to the evidence to disprove the hypothesis; you’re not trying to prove it, you’re trying to disprove it. Any good scientist is a skeptic; if he’s not, he or she should not be a scientist. But yet the language of the global warming alarmists, ‘denier’ is the language of religion, it’s heretic, you are a blasphemer. The response from the Sierra Club, ‘We have decreed this is the answer, you must accept it.’ And so he didn’t know his facts because he just knew his religion.”

Is Ted Cruz A Globalist? THE TRUTH. Empty Re: Is Ted Cruz A Globalist? THE TRUTH.

    Post by duck2000 Sun 27 Mar 2016, 7:17 am

When asked about the Council at another event in Tyler, Tex., on Oct. 15 — Texas, home of Ron Paul and Alex Jones, is the sort of place this comes up a lot — Cruz called the organization “a pernicious nest of snakes” that is “working to undermine our sovereignty,” according to video provided by someone who opposes his candidacy.
“I’ve spent a lifetime fighting to defend our sovereignty and I think that’s exactly what we ought to do,” Cruz declared.

The last argument that completely DESTROYS the globalist smear comes from Cruz himself. On his webpage, Ted Cruz lays out his plan to lower the deficit, which includes the elimination of at least 30 federal departments and agencies. Cruz has also attacked the United Nations on multiple occasions and even called for the United States to “Quit the UN Human Rights Council”.
It’s safe to assume that BIGGER government is the goal of a globalist, right?
    I. FIVE FOR FREEDOM

    1. Abolish the IRS, the Department of Education, the Department of Energy, the Department of Commerce, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. A Cruz Administration will appoint heads of each of those agencies whose sole charge will be to wind them down and determine whether any programs need to be preserved.

Internal Revenue Services – end the political targeting, simplify the tax code, and abolish the IRS as we know it.

    2. Department of Education – return education to those who know our students best: parents, teachers, local communities, and states. And block-grant education funding to the states.

    3. Department of Energy – cut off the Washington Cartel, stop picking winners and losers, and unleash the energy renaissance.
    4. Department of Commerce – close the “congressional cookie jar” and promote free-enterprise and free trade for every business.
    5. Department of Housing and Urban Development – offer real solutions to lift people out of hardship, rather than trapping families in a cycle of poverty, and empower Americans by promoting the dignity of work and reforming programs such as Section 8 housing.
    6. II. TWENTY-FIVE FEDERAL “ABCs”

Empower the people by reducing the alphabet soup of Agencies, Bureaus, Commissions, and other programs that prop up special interests, at the taxpayer’s expense. A Cruz Administration will identify all unnecessary programs – these 25 are merely a start:
Eliminate the following Agencies, Bureaus, Commissions, and programs:

    1. Appalachian Regional Commission

    2. Climate Ready Water Utilities Initiative

    3. Climate Research Funding for the Office of Research and Development

    4. Climate Resilience Evaluation Awareness Tool

    5. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau
      Corporation for Public Broadcasting
    6. Corporation for Travel Promotion

    7. Global Methane Initiative

    8. Green Infrastructure Program

    9. Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program

    10. Legal Services Corporation

    11. National Endowment for the Arts

    12. National Endowment for the Humanities

    13. New Starts Transit Program

    14. Pacific Coastal Salmon Recovery Fund
      Presidential Election Campaign Fund
    15. Regulation of CO2 Emissions from Power Plants and all Sources

    16. Regulation of Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Vehicles

    17. Renewable Fuel Standard Federal Mandates

    18. Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation

    19. Sugar Subsidies

    20. Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery

    21. UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change

    22. UN Population Fund

    23. USDA Catfish Inspection Program
From the material available, the facts seem clear. Past actions and common sense tell us that Ted Cruz is NOT a globalist and is NOT pursuing the “New World Order”.
Ted Cruz has such a clean background, his competitors have to attack his wife in an attempt to gain ground.

Is Ted Cruz A Globalist? THE TRUTH. Empty Re: Is Ted Cruz A Globalist? THE TRUTH.

    Post by duck2000 Sun 27 Mar 2016, 7:26 am

NEW YORK – With Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, setting his sights on the Oval Office, some of his critics are once again confronting him with the issue of his wife’s former membership in the Council on Foreign Relations and her role in the crafting of a CFR document espousing North American unity.

The national spokesman for Cruz’s presidential campaign, Rick Tyler, emphasized in a response to WND that the senator has never been a member of CFR and harshly criticized the organization during his 2012 U.S. Senate campaign as a threat to U.S. sovereignty, even though his wife was a member at the time.
Tyler noted that at a campaign event in Tyler, Texas, in 2011, Cruz called CFR “a pernicious nest of snakes” that is “working to undermine our sovereignty.”
Tyler explained that Heidi Cruz, then an energy investment banker for Merrill Lynch in Houston, served as a CFR term member.
Her term expired in 2011, Tyler said, and she was one of 31 members assigned to the task force that produced the “Building a North American Community” report.
“Her contribution to the report was narrowly focused on economic issues,” Tyler told WND. “She said as much in her dissenting view included in the report.”

The 2005 report by the Task Force on the Future of North America was co-authored by task force vice chairman Robert A. Pastor, then the director of the Center for North American Studies at American University in Washington, D.C.
In the 2007 bestselling book “The Late Great USA: The Coming Merger with Mexico and Canada,” Pastor was dubbed “the father of the North American Union” for the influence the CFR report had on a tripartite summit meeting between the heads of state of the U.S., Mexico and Canada. The meeting culminated in President George W. Bush declaring without congressional approval the formation of the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America.

On the CFR website, Heidi Cruz is listed as one of 31 members of the Task Force on the Future of North America.
The CFR website further specifies she served in the George W. Bush White House under Condoleezza Rice as the economic director for the Western Hemisphere at the National Security Council. She previously served as the director of the Latin America office at the U.S. Treasury Department and as special assistant to Ambassador Robert B. Zoellick, U.S. trade representative.
Prior to government service, Heidi Cruz was an investment banker with J.P. Morgan in New York City.

She is not listed as a member in the current Council of Foreign Relations roster.
On pages 33-34 of CFR’s “Building a North American Community,” Heidi Cruz wrote a paragraph included under “Additional and Dissenting Views” that contended economic investment must be led by the private sector rather than government:
I support the Task Force report and its recommendations aimed at building a safer and more prosperous North America. Economic prosperity and a world safe from terrorism and other security threats are no doubt inextricably linked. While governments play an invaluable role in both regards, we must emphasize the imperative that economic investment be led and perpetuated by the private sector. This is simply necessary to sustain a higher living standard for the poorest among us – truly the measure of our success. As such, investment funds and financing mechanisms should be deemed attractive instruments by those committing the capital and should only be developed in conjunction with market participants.
The paragraph did not address the newly formed SPP, which was enthusiastically endorsed in the first two pages of the CFR report.
The CFR report’s introduction went on to say that the task force “is pleased to provide specific advice on how the partnership can be pursued and realized,” noting the SPP “established ministerial-level working groups to address key security and economic issues facing North America and setting a short deadline for reporting back to their governments.”

In numerous articles published at the time, WND reported the developing SPP and Pastor’s vision of a “North American Community” comprised of the U.S., Mexico and Canada.
Critics of the plan have pointed out the European Union began as a free-trade agreement, much as the SPP was a further development of NAFTA. In Europe, internationalist thinkers such as Jean Monnet helped develop the 1958 European Coal and Steel Agreement into a predecessor of the European Union, which operates today as a supranational regional government.
    ‘A pit of vipers’
Tyler referred WND to a Ben Smith article in Politico titled “A pit of vipers; also, his wife,” which reported the Tyler, Texas, Senate campaign event Oct. 15, 2011, in which Cruz called the CFR “a pernicious nest of snakes” that is “working to undermine our sovereignty.
Politico confirmed with an unnamed CFR official that Heidi Cruz was an active CFR member at the time under a five-year “term membership.”
The Politico article published a YouTube video of the event in which Cruz can be heard drawing applause to his comments attacking CFR.
“I’ve spent a lifetime fighting to defend our sovereignty and I think that’s exactly what we ought to do,” Cruz declared.

In a video interview with independent journalist Derrick Broze in 2011, Cruz responded to "the opponents in this race who have taken to attacking my wife."
He pointed out she was one among thousands of term members of the CFR for a brief period, joining it "as one of the few conservatives" after stepping down from the Bush administration, "trying to push for conservative outcomes."
He mentioned former U.N. ambassador John Bolton is a member.
Cruz said the "attack" by his opponents, chiefly then-Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, suggested he would be "less than a full-throated defender of U.S. sovereignty."
Dewhurst's objective, Cruz insisted, was to divide conservative and tea party voters.
Cruz said the irony is that he was the only candidate who had stood up against the U.N. and defended U.S. sovereignty.
The biggest case of his tenure was Medellin v. Texas in 2008, he said, emphasizing he opposed President George W. Bush.

"I went before the Supreme Court and said no president has the constitutional authority to give away U.S. sovereignty," Cruz said.
In the case, the Bush administration supported a U.N. International Court of Justice ruling in 2008 that 51 Mexican illegal immigrants on death row in Texas had been deprived of rights because they were not allowed to seek assistance or advice from the Mexican consulate after they were arrested.
As WND reported in July 2008, the order from the U.N. court arrived only weeks before Texas administered a scheduled lethal injection of Jose Medellin, a Mexican national convicted of gang raping and murdering two girls in Texas.

Cruz spokesman Tyler said Cruz "fought and won a landmark ruling for U.S. sovereignty" against  "90 foreign nations and the president of the United States to ensure the supremacy of U.S. legal system against encroachment by international treaties and rulings of a World Court."
In a 6-3 ruling, the U.S. Supreme Court determined the decisions of the International Court of Justice were not binding in U.S. courts. The justices said the president of the United States had no authority to impose U.N. court decisions to reverse or otherwise amend decisions reached by a duly constituted and administered Texas state criminal court.

Well Hillary Clinton isn't a CFR member either  however she in fact takes her  queues from that group...Also Heidi's view on the NAU must be an additional view because it's sure as heck not a dissenting view... I remember Obama saying how Unpatriotic it was grow the national debt and then afterwards he blew it up.... I watched George bush near the end of his second term bend over for global warming in 2007.... I hope Cruz if he gets the nod doesn't give us the Potomac two step ... I have my doubts.... Oh and the bastion of conservatism the Washington Times reporter says he can confirm two woman in the sex scandal, if any of them come forward he's toast....and what's that 500K payment to Carly Fiorina? Quid Pro Quo endorsement? Sounds like old guard tactics....Almost forgot, it was Cruz who pushed for Chief Justice Roberts who screwed us on Obamacare http://www.businessinsider.com/ted-cruz-is-bashing-john-roberts-after-years-of-praising-him-2015-6  immigration, etc... more flip flops in this guy than a house of  pancakes .... like they say better see the hook before you 'all take the bait ... Sticking with Trump

Just so everyone understands, even though my friend and I have different views here, we remain the closest of friends and do not let politics divide friendships. I think that is something to remember going forward....
