    Will
    the Organization of petroleum exporting countries (OPEC) once again
    overcome the impasse on the selection of the next Secretary-General,
    after blocked competition between Saudi Arabia and Iran last year, a new
    candidate for the post.

    Delegates said the OPEC officials will
    meet "early next week at the Organization's headquarters in Vienna to
    discuss the criteria for the selection of a new Secretary-General, and
    ending the current Secretary-General Abdullah Al-Badri, one year in
    December.

    The impasse highlighted political tension within the
    Organization, which has 12 members, which increased because of sanctions
    on Iran.

    Unlike tradition restored «» Badri, OPEC is Libby in
    post for a third term in December after failed candidates from Saudi
    Arabia, Iran and Iraq in the crowd.

    The Secretary-General is the
    main representative of the Organization in the international arena, and

    once the matter to Ministers at the next meeting of the Organization on
    May 31 in Vienna, where the cartel will decide policy «» on production
