Hannity Addresses Dust-Up With Cruz: ‘I Feel Like I Have Been More Than Fair to Him’
    Apr. 20, 2016 11:57pm Oliver Darcy

Fox News host Sean Hannity briefly addressed his dust-up with Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on his television show Wednesday, explaining it was in part because he felt the Republican presidential hopeful had behaved in a similarly dismissive manner during other interviews.
Hannity conceded that “things got a little heated” when he asked Cruz to explain the delegate selection process. The Texas senator had responded to the question Tuesday by arguing it was something only Trump was “whining” about — a response that led Hannity to grow upset.
“This has now happened in the last three interviews that I have had with Senator Cruz,” Hannity explained Wednesday. “I feel like I have been more than fair to him.”
The conservative personality added that he thinks “it’s a very important question” Cruz should have to answer.
“I don’t think people understand [the delegate process],” he said.
After fielding comments from panelists David Limbaugh and Rose Tennent, Hannity said he believed the nomination process should be changed for the 2020 cycle. He suggested states either have caucus or primary systems put into place — nothing else.
Tension has been growing between the Fox News host and Cruz camp over the past few weeks. Earlier this month, Hannity turned to Twitter to reveal that he had been having trouble booking Cruz for an hour special.
In March, Cruz rapid response director Brian Phillips suggested after one appearance that Cruz may never appear on Hannity’s show again because “Sean spends half the [interview] pushing Trump smears.”
