The
House of Representatives passed two bills finished reading three bills, while
the Presidency postponed the first reading of the draft legal amendment
accountability and justice, and the seizure and confiscation of movable and
immovable property belonging to the corners of the dictatorial
regime.
A
statement by the media department of the Council received a «morning» copy of it
on Tuesday: that «the Parliament voted at its twenty-chaired by Speaker Osama
Najafi and the presence of 174 deputies on the two bills, and finished first and
second readings of the three laws.
The
statement added that «the speaker response to a request MP Bahaa al-Araji, the
need to speed up the vote on the law criminalizing the Ba'ath Party, that the
draft law presented to the committees of security and defense, legal and
accountability and justice for his study, where received the approval of the
security and defense committee while not offering Committees الباقيتان their
opinion about it».
For
his part, Chairman of the Justice and Accountability Commission Qais الشذر: that
«the Commission is still studying the bill, which will be ready for a vote
during the next couple of weeks.
Parliament
voted yesterday on a draft law amending the Social Welfare Act No. 126 of 1980,
sponsored by the Committee on Labor and Social Affairs, also passed a draft law
on accession of the Republic of Iraq to the Convention on the Arab Organization
for information and communication technology, sponsored by the Foreign Relations
Committee, services and reconstruction.
It
also ended the first reading of the draft law amending the Penal Code No. 111
for the year 1969 and the report of the Legal Committee, the law amending the
Criminal Procedure No. 23 of 1971.
With
completed the second reading of the draft labor law, sponsored by the committees
of labor and social affairs and civil society institutions, which includes 157
items that are discussed in the next meeting. Statement noted that the
Presidency has decided to postpone the first reading of the draft law of the
First Amendment to the Law of the Supreme National Commission for Accountability
and Justice No.
10 of 2008, and the first reading of the draft law, seizure and confiscation of
movable and immovable property belonging to the pillars of the former regime,
reports of committees of legal accountability and justice to the next meeting,
in addition to postpone the vote on the health of the membership of MP (Thamer
Ibrahim Zahir), sponsored by the Legal Committee for not completed
two thirds of the number of deputies present.
The
statement pointed out that the Presidency has decided to adjourn the meeting to
next Thursday.
It
is said that a coalition of state law, did not attend the parliament session
yesterday, to continue its boycott of the hearings since 28 April, due to the
inclusion of the law of criminal activity Baath Party on the agenda of the
meetings. In this regard, called for a coalition of state law, the political
blocs clicking on the Parliament to insert a law criminalizing Baath in the Council's
agenda.
The
head of the parliamentary bloc, Khalid al-Attiyah told a news conference with a
large number of MPs bloc in the parliament building: The «law criminalizing the
Baath and all entities and movements sectarianism, reported to Parliament by the
government since 2011, and the Presidency of the Council refuses to put it on
the agenda for approval», calling for the
political blocs to pressure on the presidency of the parliament for the
inclusion of the law within the Council's agenda.
Al-Attiyah
added that «coalition of state law constant political boycott of the meetings of
the House of Representatives, while the inclusion of this law», referring to
«Coalition keen on the work of Parliament and the work is not our intention to
disrupt the work, which must be within the Constitution.
