Trump Says Media ‘On a Witch Hunt’ Against Him
    May. 15, 2016 7:38pm Tré Goins-Phillips

Presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump took to Twitter Sunday afternoon, claiming he is the victim of a media “witch hunt” currently being carried out against him.
“The media is really on a witch-hunt against me,” the billionaire businessman tweeted. “False reporting, and plenty of it — but we will prevail!”

The accusation against the press is the latest in a string of tweets in which he slammed the New York Times for a Saturday story that alleged he has a history of disrespectful and inappropriate behavior toward women.
Trump slammed the “failing” news outlet for “refus[ing] to use any of the names given to them that I was so proud to have helped with their careers.”
Trump said the Times was “dishonest” because it did not contact the women who would allegedly say good things about the New York real estate developer. The reporters who wrote the story denied that claim, saying they did, in fact, include quotes in favor of Trump from women in their article.
In addition to attacking the Times, Trump sought to use the story to turn attention toward Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton’s affairs with women.
