Economic
expert called Salem Daini, to the need to pay attention to the
agricultural sector by providing the necessary support for him to
provide food security and reduce the external import of some
agricultural products.
Daini said (of the Agency news): The
Ministry of Planning has a new direction for the development of the
mobile rural banks to provide specialized financial interest-free loans
to farmers, and this will reduce the migration of farmers to the city,
and encourage agriculture.
He added: This plan will support the
agricultural sector, which suffers from many problems and provide food
security for the country, because Iraq still depends on external import a
lot of food, calling for the importance of co-ordination between
government institutions to promote economic development in the country.
And
saw a number of Iraqi provinces, particularly the southern ones, the
exodus of the population of many farmers toward cities to find work, for
many reasons, including water scarcity, which impact on local
agriculture and rising fuel prices and open the import of fruit and
vegetables.
The Planning Ministry announced a plan to encourage
farmers to agriculture by providing interest-free financial loans
through the creation of 7 mobile between rural banks to support the
agricultural sector.
