New chairman of the Commission on oil and energy parliamentary Ares Abdullah, on Tuesday his call to not rely on oil as a resource and a single state and resort to other resources such as agriculture, industry and minerals.
Abdullah said in a statement seen by the news agency of our economy today, "The drop in oil prices affect the country's economy being totally dependent on imports and therefore any decline will reflect negatively on the country's economy."
He noted that "the increase in production is one of the means to revive the country's economy, but the limits of possible energies specific," but he also said that he "must think about solving a radical, comprehensive and lack of dependence on oil and find alternatives for, or sources other revenues such as relying on agriculture, industry and other minerals."
