    He confirmed a member of the parliamentary Economic Committee Najiba Najib, on Wednesday, that the political crisis in neighboring countries affect the Iraqi economy, attributing it to Iraq is fully dependent on imports.
    Najib said in a statement that "the error exists in Iraq and the Kurdistan region is to rely on imports from neighboring" Iran, Turkey, Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia) countries. "
    She added that "Iraq has not worked on building its economy and diversify its revenue since the fall of the former regime and until now, and this is what makes our economy is fragile and weak," indicating that "any political imbalance in neighboring countries affects negatively on the Iraqi economy."
    Najib stressed the need "to reconsider building the Iraqi Alaqsad based on the diversification of revenue and the closure of the border."
    It is noteworthy that Iraq is witnessing a severe financial crisis after the fall in oil prices significantly large budget deficit in the year 2016, all of this with a high war on terror to liberate the country expenses.
