The head of the National Union bloc MP Abdul Bari Zebari need to create conditions and atmosphere to amend sensitive issues in the Iraqi constitution, which is one of the laws establishing the ongoing political process in Iraq since 2003.
He said Zebari said in a press statement that "modifying the constitution can not be achieved under the political and security pressures, especially given that the solution to these issues must be after the completion of Daash at least phase, after which the political parties that are working to address the crucial issues."
He ruled out the MP, "The committee that will be charged to amend the constitution to the recommendations and resolutions concerning the status of legal amendments to the Iraqi constitution, due to the lack of appropriate political conditions to address the complex issues between the political blocs to reach, as well as the presence of a large province such as Nineveh province, outside the control of the Iraqi state."
